Join the Staff

Putting on an event like this will take many people each doing their part for the weekend. We're actively looking for leaders who want to help staff the largest Scouting event outside the National Jamboree. ScoutQuest 100 staff will be working events such as tomahawk throwing, seating Scouts at the campfire and religious services, hundreds who will help in the program areas, and escorting dignitaries. If you haven't been recruited and would like to help, down load the volunteer form and send it in. If you are already recruited and have a position, you may register using the Staff Registration form.

There are two opportunities for staff. First, adults are invited to register as full time staff. Second, Venturers and Explorers are invited to register as part time staff, in order to give you time to check out all that ScoutQuest 100 has to offer.

Adults:

Scouting Adults, (18 and older) can volunteer to work the weekend. You will be placed to work with an event or area for most of the weekend. The cost for the weekend will be $10 in recognition of your service. Joining the staff is a two part process. First, apply using the Volunteer form. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted with a request to serve in a particular area. Following your placement, return your staff fee with the Staff Registration form.

Venturers and Explorers:

Venturing and Exploring youth and adults are invited to sign up as part of the staff working one of the areas througout the park for about half the weekend. You will be working two half day shifts, ensuring that you have plenty of time to check out the best of ScoutQuest.  Registering as staff will save you $10, bringing your event cost down to $15.  

To register as staff as a Venturing or Exploring youth or adult, you'll register on your unit registration form found in the Venturing and Exploring Adventure Guide. So make sure you let your advisor know that you want to work as a part of the staff and save $10.

The VOA is also looking for volunteers to work some shorter shifts for events that they are planning at ScoutQuest 100.
